Common Sense Education, an organization that regularly writes reviews for educational experiences, rated HoloLAB Champions 4 out of 5 stars and selected the game as one of its Top Picks for Learning for 2018. Experiences rated 4 stars or higher received this kind of distinction.

The Common Sense Education reviewer liked HoloLAB Champions because of its approach to teaching students proper lab practice and vocabulary. Under the ‘engagement’ category, where the game scored 5 out of 5 stars, the reviewer noted:

“HoloLAB Champions is as engaging as it gets. Teachers would be hard-pressed to find a student who didn't enjoy chemistry gamified.”

The reviewer also mentioned the Classroom Guide that was created for educators, and wrote about one of the biggest advantages for implementing a virtual reality lab in the classroom- the ease of clean up and use of resources:

“Teachers can use HoloLAB Champions and the accompanying classroom guide to give their students a solid and fun set of VR chemistry activities. One of the big positives about a VR experience like this is that there's no lab equipment and no supplies to set up.”

HoloLAB Champions is free for educators, and is $9.99 for the public.
